Thursdays usually consist of knitting, crocheting, answering a "question of the day" and myself surrounded by ten or so women 55-75 years old. It's SCAT club day, appropriately named for a group of women who live in the Sunlight and Crandall regions who are Artistic Tea-drinkers. These women have brought me one step closer to being domestic.
Until this past Thursday, that is, when eight of the most adventurous of the women hopped on their 4-wheelers and rode several miles out to the confluence of the Clarksfork River and Crandall Creek. No knitting occured that day, but there was plenty of hiking and gazing at the beautiful new spring mountain wild flowers, and of course, a question of the day: "Do you think you are a good listener and what, to you, makes a good listener." Ironically enough, there were no interruptions or side conversations while each woman answered (not the norm!).
The Clarksfork River - Great trout fishing! |
It was great to be out of the snow of Cooke City and in a dry and warm place where even the flowers are proclaiming the arrival of spring/summer!
The Shooting Star - My favorite wildflower! |
